Commercials Galore

I guess I've taken a hiatus from the blog lately.  We've just been busy, lazy or up at the lake where we don't get internet so I haven't been able to waste gobs of time blogging. Eventually, I'm going to print out all this stuff and make a family book so the kids can look back on these years.  I wish I could have been able to start when they were babies like Leah, Rachael and Angela have done.  Well, for now I have to include the latest videos of our "big" girls.  Here are two commercials, each featuring one of our now famous gals, Giovanna and Lauren.

Here's Giovanna's commercial for Arby's.  You can check out more about her career at

And here's Lauren's famous debut in a commercial for a school election that she has been working on at Purdue.  She's the one in the scarf...

Pretty soon I'm going to post photos of our trip up to Brandon's and Shona's Valley Ford Hotel and Restaurant.  We had a blast!!!!  Amazingly great food and a cool hotel.  I would love all the East Costers to see the pics because Brandon has done such a great job with his restaurant and hotel business.  The only reason I've procrastinated about it is that all the photos I've been taking recently are on my IPhone and it's more of an extended ritual for me to upload them.  I'm sure there is an easier way of doing it than the convoluted way I currently do it but... I haven't discovered it yet.  But, the pictures will be up soon.

Slainte (Cheers!)

Drew is off to to meet up with the Fantasy Baseball guys and then off on a business trip but he graced us this morning and got us in the spirit.

May you live a long life, full of gladness and health. With a pocket full of gold as the least of your wealth. May the dreams you  hold dear be those which come true, the kindness you spread keep returning to you.  Wishing everyone a  Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Dress Shopping

L-R:  Krissy, Jenny, Lauren (the Bride-To-Be) and Lauren

Lauren is home on Spring Break and the day after she arrived home, she joined the bride-to-be and her sisters to shop for bridesmaid dresses in San Francisco - pretty obvious with the cable car in the background, I guess. It was a gorgeous day in the city and they picked out gorgeous wedding attire.  I won't say any more about it so I won't give anything away...but it was an easy process and a lot of fun because they're all fun girls.  After "the choice" was made, we all rambled over to Cheesecake Factory and stuffed ourselves because...the wedding diet starts tomorrow....mine does, anyway.  The bride and her sisters might disappear altogether if they went on a wedding diet!

Well, the next thing we knew, Lauren was hopping in the car to join her long-time friends for a Spring Break trip to UC Santa Barbara.

Ummmm...Isn't is always spring break in Santa Barbara???
